Hunua Falls, Auckland, New Zealand

Description

Hunua Falls gave me one big reminder: time looks different when you stretch it. That’s what I love about long exposure—the movement of time collapses into one frame, and the chaos turns calm.

Influenced by Joel Tjintjelaar’s approach, I lean into minimalism and structure: let the water draw the lines, let the rock anchor the scene. Then I flip it to monochrome, and everything stands out—texture, contrast, form. Color steps aside, light and shadow do the talking.
